Jireh Industrial Services exists today because of Tom Duby; it also reflects his character. So who is Tom? A native of Eastern Oregonian from Baker City who has strong roots in the ranching community. He grew up working with cattle, hunting and riding motor bikes that he and his brothers would fix up. He learned the meaning and value of hard, honest work through his childhood and early adult experiences. Tom tells of his first job out of high school as a hired hand (cowboy) working for a giant corporate ranch in Eastern Oregon. “There weren’t enough hours in the day to accomplish the work we had. Most days, I’d sleep where I could and just keep going. If I didn’t, the calves would die.”
Words like integrity and honesty are not just buzz words for Tom. He earned them the hard way through a farm upbringing that illustrated every day the importance of completing the job well. Not only did his family count on him to help sustain their livelihood, but the cattle and farm animals counted on him too. You can’t take a day off from feeding animals without dire consequences.
Tom spent some years working in hazardous waste removal. Through that experience he decided to work to find a business that would provide for his family and his employees that wasn’t so risky. He has 25+ years of experience as a contractor both residential and commercial. As the commercial side of the company grew, Tom saw a niche that he could excel in: Concrete floor repair. Through years of research and development, working closely with experts in the industry, Jireh Industrial Services has designed and manufactured unique, top of the line equipment made especially for concrete floor repair, that allows us to complete a job with beautiful lasting results in a timely manner.
